Hirudoid Cream is a topical application for bruises and swelling due to injury.

Hirudoid is a anti-inflammatory and antithrombotic agent for external application on contusions, sprains, haematomas, bruises and swelling. Hirudoid is also suitable for inflammatory conditions of the veins requiring medical supervision. Hirudoid can also be of assistance in treating scar tissue and loosening scar tissue.

Studies have shown Hirudoid:

• softens scars, increases flexibility of the scar tissue, reduces redness and results in a better cosmetic appearance.
• can reduce the healing time of a bruise by up to 50% and is also effective for treating the swelling.
• 83% of patients who used Hirudoid were fully mobile within one week. (one study)

Keep the cream away from the eyes and do not apply to bleeding areas or open sores. If unexpected bleeding should occur, consult your doctor. Very occasionally Hirudoid will cause reddening of the skin in some patients. In the case treatment with Hirudoid should be stopped.
